In its product division Security & Comfort Signat has developed a very useful accessory: the SRS050 speed switch.

The Signat SRS050 speed switch is a universal automotive interface which switches on or switches off a certain automotive device at a previously adjusted speed. There are a lot of possible applications thinkable, but in most cases the SRS050 will be used in combination with a Signat SRS001 parking assistant mounted in the front bumper.

In this way, the front parking sensors of the SRS001 will be activated automatically when the car drops its speed below a preset treshold value. The system will be deactivated again when the speed surpasses this threshold value.

Easy adjustment
Nowadays more and more parking assistants are integrated in the front bumper. Normally, when mounted in the rear bumper, the system is activated when the reverse gear is chosen and it is linked to the reversing lights; of course these connections do not apply when a parking assistant is mounted in the front bumper. Therefore there has to be another way of switching the parking assistant and the SRS050 is the ideal solution for this purpose.
The treshold speed value can be programmed into the SRS050 while driving at the required speed and pressing the memory button at that moment.
The dipswitches allow for an easy adjustment of the switching mode. You can choose for example to deactivate the front parking assistant after applying the parking brake (with or without a delay), or once the vehicle has been stationary for 10 seconds or longer.
A control LED indicates the moment that the SRS050 is being switched. The connection of the SRS050 to the SRS001 is very easy and the device is suited for all kinds of 12 Volt vehicles.

Intelligent and easy
For quite some time now, Signat is known for its user-friendly, easy-to-install, convenient interfaces and adapters. And now there’s the Signat SRS050, so intelligent but yet so easy: it has proven itself as an outstanding, versatile device. With this Speed Switch 'Smart-Signat' becomes a notion!

Correction for navigation
First of all this speed switch is capable of automatically switching on and off the front parking sensors of a vehicle at the right moments. But the SRS050 has many more options! 1The SRS050 can for example offer an easy solution for a vehicle of which the speed pulse causes deviations concerning the navigation system. The Speed Switch corrects the original speed pulse and sends it to the navigation system which will operate faultlessly now. This only takes a very simple installation procedure for an unprecedented low price: other correction devices which have identical end results are much more expensive. This is Smart-Signat at its best!
Of course the Speed Switch can not only be used in combination with parking sensors, but also with camera systems of the vehicle. In this way a reverse safety system with cameras on a truck will automatically be switched on and off.

Anti-theft security
For courier and express services the SRS050 offers a particularly easy application: in combination with a transponder system the Speed Switch can leave the engine running while the driver - with a transponder in his pocket - briefly gets out of the vehicle to deliver a package at the door of a customer. But should at that time the vehicle move out of the reach of the transponder, the SRS050 automatically switches off the engine.
The SRS050 therefore means not only a substantial higher level of comfort (the driver doesn’t have to lock the doors everytime), it also ensures an improved anti-theft security of the vehicle. So this is a very intelligent application of 'Smart-Signat'.
Besides that, the SRS050 can trigger various warning signals when a buzzer, a blinking LED or another indication device has been connected. For example it can signal the exceeding of a preset speed, or it can detect when the vehicle is driving with opened cargo doors, trunk or even driving with an opened fuel valve.
